The primary tenet of the BSAC is promoting education in the science of Astronomy through public outreach.
To further our stated purpose, each year the Big Sky Astronomy Club hosts several public outreach events around the Flathead Valley. Events include star parties, workshops, seminars and observing of special astronomical occurrences (such as comets, transits, solar and lunar eclipses, etc.).
Over the years, the Big Sky Astronomy Club has provided star parties and astronomy workshops for such diverse groups as the Girl Scouts and Boy Scouts, elementary, middle and high school classes, other non-profit organizations as well as the residents of a local assisted living center. If your group would be interested in having the BSAC provide you a special program, please feel free to drop us a line. These services are provided free of cost.
Simply use the "Comment and Question" form on our "Contact Us" page.
Check here often, as new events will be added to our calendar as the year progresses.

TIPS:
The dates with the dark blue background and highlighted in yellow indicate that a BSAC event is planned (or an Astronomical Event occurs) on that date.
Hovering your mouse over the event will bring up a tool tip that contains a small description of the event.
With the exception of the Daylight Savings dates, clicking a calendar date will open an overlay that will provide you with additional information about that particular event.
